The Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (ACVB) mission is to attract and serve visitors to the Municipality of Anchorage.

Bureau Goals

1. Generate more tourism dollars to sustain/diversify Anchorage’s economy.
2. Establish ACVB as the expert for visitor information, statistics, and resources for our key audiences, including meeting planners, travel agents and tour operators, media and members.
3. Educate Alaskans of the value of tourism in the Anchorage community.

ACVB’s marketing functions are funded by one-third of the bed tax collected by the lodging association. One-third goes to the Municipality’s general fund and one-third goes to the Dena’ina Civic & Convention Center construction project.

ACVB receives no state or federal funds.
